Our general rule is that we prefer dogs to be kept inside when you receive your “heads up” text letting you know your Scooper is on the way.
It’s not because we don’t love dogs. We’re a pet waste removal company — liking dogs is pretty much a job requirement around here. But even the friendliest dog can react differently when an unfamiliar person enters their yard carrying a rake, bucket, or other equipment.
Keeping your dog inside while we scoop helps protect your dog, your Scooper, and everyone’s peace of mind.
Why We Ask Dogs to Stay Inside
Our Scoopers enter hundreds of backyards, and every dog has a different personality. Some are thrilled to see us. Others are protective of their property, nervous around strangers, or simply very interested in what we’re doing.
There’s also the practical side: an excited dog following us around can make it much harder to thoroughly inspect the yard. And since our goal is to leave your property as clean as possible, a little uninterrupted scooping time helps!
That’s why we send a heads-up text before arrival whenever possible. If your dog is outside, we ask that you bring them in before your Scooper enters the yard.

Are There Exceptions?
Of course.
Some of our longtime clients have dogs who know their Scooper well, and everyone involved is perfectly comfortable with the dog remaining outside. There may also be situations where a dog is securely separated from the portion of the property we’re servicing.
We handle those situations individually. The important thing is that our Scooper needs to feel safe and comfortable entering and working in the yard.
If there’s ever any uncertainty, keeping your dog inside is the safest choice.
You Don’t Need to Be Home
The good news is that you never need to rearrange your day around us. As long as we can safely access the yard and your dog is secured, you’re free to go about your day.
We’ll take care of the dirty work.
