Now happily retired, Tina never imagined owning and managing a small business after decades of working in the corporate world for Merck, Medco and Express Scripts. Yet when the opportunity arose to purchase a dog poop pick up and removal business from longtime colleague and family friend, Tom Watson, it seemed like a rewarding path to take. And for the last 8.5 years of her working life, it absolutely was! Tina found so much satisfaction and fulfillment in working alongside her daughter, Emily, to make life easier for dog parents and their beloved fur babies in New Jersey. She always strictly abided by Big Business’ promise that while we work with number two, the customer (human or dog!) is always number ONE. Tina may be retired but her heart will always be with Big Business.
MEET THE OWNER, EMILY
Hi, I’m Emily, owner and operator of Big Business Scoopers, one of New Jersey’s oldest pet waste removal companies. The business has been proudly serving dog families in New Jersey since 2003. Since my mother and I took over the business from a family friend in 2015, I’ve grown our business into a trusted local service for dog waste removal in 6 counties. I’m passionate about helping families keep their yards clean, safe, and enjoyable for their dogs, and I believe every client deserves reliable, professional service. Whether coordinating schedules or out in the field myself, my focus is always on quality, consistency, and making life easier for the dogs and families we serve.
I also serve as Secretary of aPaws (Association of Professional Animal Waste Specialists), one of the very first professional organizations dedicated to the pet waste removal industry, where I contribute to supporting and elevating standards within our industry.
At the end of the day, I believe “big” business is actually very personal. My focus is always on supporting my amazing team, providing reliable, high-quality service and building long-lasting relationships with the dogs and families we serve.
