Terms of Service

These Terms of Service explain the policies that apply when you schedule or receive service from Big Business Scoopers.

Last updated: July 23, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of Big Business Scoopers’ services. By scheduling or receiving service from us, you agree to these Terms.

Big Business Scoopers is an independently owned and operated residential and commercial pet waste removal company serving New Jersey since 2003.

1. Service Schedule

We aim to provide service on the same day of the week each week. Occasionally, we may need to move your scheduled service by one day due to vehicle maintenance, illness, severe weather, holidays, or other operational needs.

While we make every effort to notify clients of schedule changes in advance, we reserve the right to move your service day by one day without notice. This happens infrequently.

In the rare event that we are unable to complete your scheduled service due to circumstances beyond our control—such as illness without available route coverage—we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible. Any missed recurring service that cannot be completed will be credited to your account.

Because of the nature of our routes and scheduling, we are unable to provide time-specific visits. Our service hours are from 7:00 a.m. to sunset, Monday through Friday.

Your assigned service day is determined by your location and our existing routes. While we strive to keep your service day consistent, occasional route adjustments may require us to change it. If this happens, we will notify you in advance.

2. Property Access

Any gates must be unlocked, free of blockage, and accessible on your service day. If you prefer, you may provide us with your lock combination or key location. This information will be kept secure.

We reserve the right to skip inaccessible properties at our discretion, and such visits will still be subject to charge.

3. Dog Safety

As a rule, all dogs must remain indoors during service. When you receive your notification text from your Scooper, please bring your dogs inside and secure any dog doors.

Please make sure that other members of the household are aware that the Scooper is coming so that no one lets the dog outside during service.

Friendly dogs may remain outside during service only with prior approval from our office. We reserve the right to require dogs to be brought inside at any time, including when a substitute or newly assigned Scooper is providing service.

The safety of our Scoopers comes first. If a dog is outside and behaving reactively, aggressively, or in a manner that our Scooper believes is unsafe, we reserve the right to skip service.

We will make a reasonable effort to contact you by knocking or ringing your doorbell and calling you. If we are unable to reach you, we will continue to our next scheduled stop, and the visit may still be billed.

Clients are required to notify the office if any dog on the property has a history of aggression or presents a bite risk. For the safety of our team, we may require a response text confirming that the dog is secured before service begins.

4. Billing

The service operates on a recurring monthly basis. A valid debit or credit card is required to be kept on file at all times.

We do not accept ACH payments, checks, cash, or third-party payment apps such as Venmo or PayPal.

Your first payment will be due at the time of your first service, and cards will be charged on the first of every month for that month’s services. Service will continue on a recurring monthly basis until cancelled in accordance with these Terms.

If your card is declined or your bill is unpaid for any reason, we will discontinue service immediately until payment has been received.

If you would like to resume service after making a late payment, we reserve the right to charge an initial cleanup fee depending on the condition of your yard.

All first services require a deposit to hold your appointment time. The remainder of the cost will be billed directly after the service has been completed.

If service cannot be completed due to circumstances outside our control, including inaccessible gates, aggressive dogs, or unsafe conditions, the scheduled visit may still be considered complete and billed accordingly.

While we will make reasonable efforts to notify you, immediate notification is not guaranteed.

5. Communication

By providing your cell phone number and email address through our website, you consent to receiving calls and electronic communications at the number or email address provided.

These communications may include information regarding your account, marketing materials, and scheduled reminder alerts about your service.

Service notifications regarding our arrival and departure may be sent to multiple phone numbers provided on the account. All official account communications will be sent only to the primary phone number listed on the account.

6. Rates

All rates listed on our website are based on an average residential yard of approximately 10,000 square feet and typical pet waste accumulation.

Factors such as property size, the number of dogs using the yard, waste accumulation, accessibility, terrain, or other conditions that significantly affect the time required to perform the service may result in additional charges.

Quotes are provided in good faith based on the information available at the time of the estimate. No estimate or quoted rate is final until one of our Scoopers inspects the property during the first visit.

We reserve the right to revise the quoted rate after the first service and will communicate that change.

Clients are responsible for notifying us of any material changes that may affect pricing, including changes to the number of dogs using the service area or significant changes to the size, accessibility, or terrain of the property.

We reserve the right to adjust our rates from time to time. Existing clients will receive at least 30 days’ notice before any recurring service rate change takes effect.

7. Yard Conditions

Each season tends to bring its own challenges, such as tall grass, accumulated snow, heavy leaf coverage, and similar conditions. Our general rule is that we can only scoop what we can see.

Our Scoopers will always walk your entire property and look to find as much waste as they can. However, if yard conditions are challenging, we may miss some spots.

If landscapers, contractors, or other workers are actively performing work on the property when we arrive, we may postpone or skip service if their equipment or activities prevent us from safely or thoroughly completing the job.

If a visit is skipped for this reason, the scheduled service may still be billed, as time has been reserved and our team has traveled to your property.

When the grass is mowed, the leaves are blown, the snow melts, or another obstacle is cleared, we will remove any accumulated waste during the following visit to make sure your space is in excellent shape.

Winter Visibility

During the winter months, snow, ice, frost, and frozen ground can make pet waste difficult to see or remove completely.

In addition, service performed earlier in the day may be followed by melting later in the afternoon, revealing waste that was not visible at the time of service. This does not necessarily mean your yard was missed.

We appreciate your understanding, as weather conditions can temporarily affect visibility and cleanup quality.

8. Weather

We scoop in every season and in most weather conditions, including light to moderate rain.

Severe weather may cause delays or skips. Severe weather includes, but is not limited to, prolonged heavy rain, thunderstorms, accumulating snow, and extreme temperatures.

Because we will return on your next service day with double the amount of waste, charges still apply for weather-related skips.

If you clean up before the next visit, please notify the office to request a credit.

Clients on an every-other-week service schedule will receive a makeup visit the following week after a skip. Their regularly scheduled service will then resume.

9. Holidays

We are closed every year on Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, Christmas Day, and during the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Monthly charges remain unchanged during holiday closures. Service resumes on the next scheduled visit following the holiday closure.

10. Our Scoopers

Every Scooper is trained before working independently, wears a company uniform, and is expected to uphold our standards of professionalism and respect.

If you receive service from a Big Business Scooper that does not accurately reflect our professional values, please let the office know immediately.

11. Media

By receiving service from Big Business Scoopers, you consent to our Scoopers taking photographs or videos on your property as reasonably necessary to document completed work, service conditions, safety concerns, or other operational matters.

You also grant us permission to use photographs or videos of your property, pets, and completed work for marketing, educational, or promotional purposes, provided that no personally identifying information—such as your name, street address, or other private information—is disclosed without your consent.

12. Satisfaction Guarantee

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with a service, please notify us at 973-379-7995 or info@bigbusinessscoopers.com within 24 hours.

We will either return to correct the service or provide a credit to your account. After 24 hours, all work is considered final, and no revisits or credits will be provided.

13. Refunds

Credits or refunds may be issued at our discretion for circumstances such as billing errors, service errors, or extended periods during which no waste accumulated and sufficient advance notice was provided.

14. Changes to Service

Clients may place their service on hold or cancel at any time, for any reason, without penalty or payment of a cancellation fee, by providing notice at least 24 hours before their next scheduled service.

To request a service hold or cancellation, call 973-379-7995 or email info@bigbusinessscoopers.com .

Upon returning, clients who placed their service on hold may be subject to an initial cleanup fee before being added back into the regular maintenance schedule.

Big Business Scoopers may terminate or suspend your access to our services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms and Conditions.

If we terminate service, any future scheduled services will be cancelled immediately.

15. Insurance

We maintain applicable local, state, and federal licenses required, if any, to operate, as well as no less than one million dollars in Comprehensive General Liability insurance.

Our insurance does not cover cleaning services performed inside homes. For that reason, our Scoopers may only gain access to your property through gates and may not enter through the home.

16. Liability

Big Business Scoopers is not liable for damage resulting from pre-existing property conditions, hidden or underground hazards, unsecured gates, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

17. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time without notice to you.

Modifications will become effective when the updated Terms of Service are posted to our website. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Big Business Scoopers regarding our services. No oral promises or agreements are part of these Terms.
